Galaxy WebApps - Settings

Settings

The Settings page is where you can configure and manage key aspects of your app, including domains, encryption, and advanced management actions.

Domain Management

Manage how your app is accessed by setting up root or custom domains.

Root Domain:
Point your root domain to the Galaxy Load Balancer IP using a type A record.
Example IP: 44.212.141.58

Custom Domains:
Add custom domains by configuring your DNS provider to point to Galaxy's DNS.
Example: CUSTOMERNAME.g1-us-east.ingress.galaxycloud.app
Users can add their own domains and configure them via the + Add New Domain button.
Allows custom domains to redirect visitors to the hosted application.

Galaxy Subdomain:
Every app comes with a default Galaxy subdomain, e.g.,
APPNAME.g1-us-east.galaxycloud.app.

Encryption Settings

Displays whether HTTPS is enabled and enforced for the domain.
Example: Enabled - Force HTTPS ensures secure communication for all traffic.

Danger Zone

The Danger Zone is a subcategory of the Settings page for performing advanced or critical actions.

Stop Application:

Temporarily stop your app:

The app goes offline and is inaccessible to users.
System resources are released, saving costs.
Ideal for maintenance or debugging.

Delete Application:

Permanently delete your app:

This action is irreversible.
All app data and configurations will be erased.

Caution: Actions in the Danger Zone should only be performed by authorized users to prevent accidental disruptions.
